About Travelling around Spain
Welcome to Spain.
Welcome to travellingaroundspain.com My name is Kim, and I want to share with you all my favourite spots in Spain.
I'm a Canadian who has been living in Spain for over 15 years. I spend my free weekends and vacations with my family getting to know my adopted country. This blog is all about helping you discover the best of what Spain has to offer.
Discover the different cultures—and languages—within the same country. Discover the country of fiestas and food, of art, architecture history and football. You will find deserts, deep green forests, towering mountains, valleys teaming with loaded vineyards, hillsides of olive trees as far as the eye can see, orchards of every kind of fruit tree, pristine beaches (and crowded ones), modern cities that are teeming with people at midnight and quiet villages that take you back 2000 years or more in time.

Along with many of the top tourist attractions, I will also include some of the smaller, but equally as interesting off-the-beaten-path villages, side streets or attractions. All of the places on my blog I have actually been to. If I recommend a restaurant it is because either I have eaten in it, or it was recommended to me. I haven’t stayed in all of the hotels, but I have personally been in most of them either for a cup of coffee or a look around. (or they have been recommended to me)
I will include fun facts about Spain, explain some of the quirky customs and introduce you to a few words in the language you can’t do without (the names of the best dishes of food for example).
So come along to and discover why Spain is the 3rd most visited country in the world.
