Spain has a reputation as a country with excellent gastronomic fare and the locals take the business of eating very seriously. Spaniards have long drawn out lunches, then go to a coffee shop for a long drawn out coffee and dessert, in the afternoon they have tapas and beer and, finally, dinner which a lighter fare late in the evening.
